US group to update residential pesticide survey
The US agrochemical industry’s Residential Exposure Joint Venture (REJV) plans to conduct a national survey of residential pesticide use to provide accurate data for the EPA’s risk assessments. There have been significant changes in usage patterns, especially for pyrethroid insecticides, since the last survey in 2001 following the removal of various organophosphates and carbamates from residential use. The REJV was formed in 1997. The member companies are BASF, Bayer CropScience, McLaughlin Gormley King, S C Johnson & Son, Syngenta, United Industries and Valent BioSciences.
