UK modifies multiple applications procedure
The UK Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) has modified its procedure for processing applications for changes to multiple products. For such applications, the CRD issues a “blanket” notice covering all of the products, rather than issuing individual notices of approval for each product. From February 1st, it will only issue a blanket amendment notice for 15 or more products. Applications for identical changes for 14 or fewer products will be accepted as individual applications. Further, blanket notices will not be issued where a new MAPP (ministerially approved pesticide product) number is needed as a result of the change to the product and such applications will be accepted as individual applications.
