Australia to approve Sumitomo's metofluthrin
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has recommended the approval of Sumitomo Chemical’s pyrethroid insecticide, metofluthrin, as a new active ingredient. It is to be used as an insect repellent in household products. There are no proposed agricultural uses. The APVMA decision is subject to a 28-day public comment period from February 1st.
