Brazilian 2010 agchem market hits new record
The Brazilian agrochemical market hit a new record in 2010, national media report. Despite a fall in sales in the national currency, US dollar revenues rose by 9% to some $7,240 million, beating the previous peak of $7,100 million in 2008 ( Agrow No 565, p 23). Sales in the Brazilian currency were down by 3% to R$12,436 million. Provisional figures showed a 6% market rise ( Agrow No 608, p 14).
