Brazil CTNBio OKs Bayer's TwinLink cotton
Brazil has provisionally approved the sale and use of Bayer CropScience’s genetically modified glufosinate-tolerant and insect-resistant TwinLink cotton (T304-40xGHB119). The national technical commission for biosafety approved the product at its February meeting by 17 votes to four. The authorisation requires ratification from the government’s 11-Ministry strong biosafety council, the CNBS. That decision should be made within 60 days.
