Bayer debuts Atlantis in Portugal
Bayer CropScience has debuted its sulfonylurea herbicide, Atlantis (mesosulfuron-methyl + iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium + mefenpyr-diethyl safener), in Portugal. It is a water-dispersible granule formulation for use on wheat to control grass and broadleaf weeds. Mesosulfuron-methyl was first launched in France in 2002 as Archipel and Atlantis ( Agrow No 399, p 25). The active ingredient was Bayer’s fifth-largest seller in 2010 (see this issue).
