BASF reveals Xemium brands in US

BASF is to market its new fungicide, fluxapyroxad (trade-marked as Xemium), under the trade names, Merivon, Priaxor and Systiva in the US. Systiva is a seed treatment for use on cereals, soybeans, sunflowers and legumes. Merivon and Priaxor are combinations of fluxapyroxad and pyraclostrobin for use on field crops, fruit and vegetables. BASF filed registration applications for fluxapyroxad in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand last year ( Agrow No 593, p 22). It expects to receive US approval in 2012.
