UK pesticides expert committee seeks members
The UK Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is on the lookout for a chairman and up to five members for its Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues in Food (ECPRF). The ECPRF is to replace the Pesticide Residues Committee (PRC) this spring. It will also be made up of current members of the PRC and will carry on with the same work and schedule of publication. Members serve an initial term of three years and provide advice to government departments on: planning surveillance programmes to monitor residues in the food supply; and evaluating results and procedures for sampling, sample processing and new methods of analysis. The closing date for sending applications is April 4th 2011.
