Bayer to sell UK agchem plant
Bayer CropScience is to sell its pesticide plant in Norwich, UK. The 114 acre (90 ha) site has 280 employees in the production of agrochemicals and industrial chemicals. Site manager Tim Green says the move is part of Bayer’s “consolidation of manufacturing of agrochemical products” and global restructuring. “We are confident that a purchaser of this site would find excellent manufacturing facilities with a second-to-none workforce,” he adds. Bayer says the move is part of the global restructuring under way that Bayer Group decided on in November last year.
