Agdia debuts Herculex Xtra kit

The US diagnostics company, Agdia (Elkhart, Indiana), has introduced a test kit for the detection of Dow AgroSciences/DuPont’s genetically modified insect-resistant Herculex Xtra maize. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit can detect the Bt Cry34Ab1 and Cry1F toxins in a single sample. ELISA kits typically allow the detection of only one trait, Agdia points out.
