Wynca's sales up 7% in first quarter
Chinese company Wynca Chemical recorded a 6.5% increase in sales to Yuan 1,210.9 million ($186.3 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2011 compared with the same period last year. Agrochemicals made up 43.1% of sales in 2010 ( Agrow No 616, p 6). Net profit for the first three months of the year was down 49.1% to Yuan 26.2 million ($4 million). Low glyphosate prices saw the company’s agrochemical sales fall 7% in 2010 to Yuan 1,873.5 million ($288.3 million - Agrow ibid).
