Canadian approval for FMC's Authority 480

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency has approved FMC’s herbicide, Authority 480 (sulfentrazone 480 g/litre), for use on chickpeas. It is a pre-plant and pre-emergence product for the control of broadleaf weeds such as lambsquarters ( Chenopodium album), redroot pigweed ( Amaranthus retroflexus), kochia ( Kochia scoparia) and wild buckwheat ( Polygonum convolvulus). FMC has been selling sulfentrazone under the Authority brand in the US for use on soybeans since the late 1990s.
