MAI ranks fourth in environmental index
Maktheshim-Agan Industries (MAI) has been ranked fourth in an annual “corporate environmental transparency” index in Israel. The index has been published this month by BeyondBusiness, which specialises in consulting and planning for corporate environmental responsibility, MAI notes. The company scored 78.5% for transparency, after showing “significant improvement” on the previous year. It was ranked 74th in 2010. MAI says the report highlights its commitments such as strict compliance with the use of advanced technologies for waste water treatment and air emissions. MAI also scored well for publication of corporate responsibility report earlier this year. The index ranks the 100 largest companies in Israel on environmental transparency.
