BASF extends AgCelence brand in Brazil
BASF is expanding its yield-boosting agrochemical brand, AgCelence, in Brazil to more crops. The brand was debuted in Brazil four years ago for use on sugar cane and soybeans ( Agrow No 523, p 19). AgCelence is marketed as providing benefits beyond crop protection, such as tolerance to stress. Following success in soybeans, the company is to apply it to coffee, grapevines, potatoes and tomatoes, it says. The fungicides, Cantus (boscalid), Opera and Comet (both pyraclostrobin), are to be aimed at coffee, while Collis (boscalid) and Cabrio Top (pyraclostrobin + metiram) will be marketed for use on grapevines.
