Chile OKs Bayer's Aviator Xpro

Chile has granted approval for Bayer CropScience’s systemic fungicide, Aviator Xpro 225 EC (bixafen 75 g/litre + prothioconazole 150 g/litre). The emulsion concentrate formulation is for use on barley and wheat against various diseases. The company received its first approvals for the combination product last year in the UK and Germany for use on cereals, including winter wheat and barley ( Agrow No 600, p 21). The UK approval was the first to include the pyrazole fungicide, bixafen ( Agrow No 599, p 20). Bixafen is among Bayer’s pipeline of six active ingredients due for launch in the current launch period, 2010-12.
