Syngenta/Pasteuria deal on soybean bionematicide STs
Syngenta has entered into an exclusive global technology partnership with US biopesticide company Pasteuria Bioscience (Alachua, Florida) to develop bionematicide products based on the soil bacteria, Pasteuria spp. The initial focus will be on seed treatment products for the control of soybean cyst nematodes ( Heterodera glycines). They cause over $1,000 million in crop losses each year in the US alone. Syngenta says. The companies aim to launch the first product from the collaboration within two years.
