Advice issued for EU GM crop applications
Guidance has been issued on how to prepare and submit applications for EU approval of genetically modified crops for food and feed uses, including cultivation. The document, from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), covers applications submitted under the EU GM food and feed Regulation (1829/2003). It provides instructions on how to prepare and present data, including requirements specific to applications concerning stacked-trait GM crops. The guidance is also relevant to applicants for renewals of existing product approvals, and includes advice on applications previously submitted under other EU legislation.
