China's Q2 agchem exports show robust growth
China’s agrochemical exports jumped by 57.1% to $650 million in the second quarter of 2011. Volumes also saw a significant increase, up 55.7% on the same period last year to 218,000 tonnes. The data were published by the Chinese Customs Department in the national newspaper, the AgriGoods Herald. They reveal that the average export price for the period was $2,962.40/tonne. First-quarter exports were valued at $635.5 million, up 30% year-on-year ( Agrow No 617, p 20).
