US EPA cancels expired rodenticides
The US EPA has issued cancellation orders for 11 household rodenticides following the expiry of time-limited registrations on June 4th 2011. Registrants of rodenticides based on ten active ingredients were given until that date to meet new safety standards laid down in 2008 ( Agrow No 618, p 15). The cancellation order covers: three difenacoum-based products and two bromethalin-based products from Woodstream; a difethialone-based product from Liphatech; two difethialone and one brodifacoum-based product from Reckitt Benckiser; and two bromethalin-based products from Agrisel. Stocks released prior to June 4th can be used until exhausted.
