Bayer adjusts Canadian GM canola price
Bayer CropScience is lowering the price of its herbicide, Liberty (glufosinate-ammonium), and raising the price of its genetically modified glufosinate-tolerant LibertyLink canola seed by a similar amount in Canada for the 2012 season. The move follows a similar adjustment last year. In view of the increased upfront cost of the seed, the company is continuing its TraitGuard programme. Under the scheme, the trait cost of a bag of seed will be reimbursed for crops that are reseeded or taken out of production by June 29th 2012.
