Argentina approves Bayer's LibertyLink soybeans
Argentina has approved the commercial release of Bayer CropScience’s genetically modified glufosinate-tolerant LibertyLink soybeans. It is the final required approval of the product, Bayer says. The approval is only the second for GM soybeans in Argentina, and the first of any GM product for Bayer. Monsanto’s glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready soybeans were the first GM crop to be approved in the country back in 1996 ( Agrow No 469, p 17).
