More launches for Arysta's Midas

Arysta LifeScience plans to launch its iodomethane-based fumigant, Midas, in Mexico and Guatemala next year following recent approvals in those countries. Midas 98:2 (iodomethane 98% + chloropicrin 2%) has been approved in Mexico for drip or shank application in fields where tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, berries and melons will be grown. The authorities in Guatemala have have approved Midas 98 for pre-plant applications to fields for melon and tomato production. Midas has been approved for use in the US, Japan, Turkey, New Zealand, Uruguay and Mexico. Registrations are pending in Australia, Egypt, Israel and South Africa, Arysta notes.
