Brazil agchem industry defends pesticide reprocessing
The Brazilian agrochemical industry has launched a common defence of its reprocessing activities in the manufacture of pesticides. Four chemical and agrochemical industry associations representing major and minor companies stand behind their activities, stressing that modern facilities “excel in accuracy” at each stage of production. The co-authored defence follows inspections at various agrochemical companies by the national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa ( Agrow No 622, p 19). The associations defending the reprocessing activities are: the agrochemical industry association, the Andef; the agrochemical industry trade association, the Sindag; the generic agrochemical industry association, the Aenda; and the fine chemicals industry association, the Abifina.
