Dip in UK cereal fungicide/herbicide use
Herbicide and fungicide usage in the UK on cereals was down in the 2010/11 growing season, reveals a UK farmer survey conducted by German agricultural market research company Kleffmann (Lüdinghausen) and UK-based Independent Business Resource (IBR –Pewsey, Wiltshire). That happened despite an increase in acreage. The survey was conducted among 1,000 cereal and 400 oilseed rape farmers. Kleffmann and IBR formed an alliance in the UK in 2008 ( Agrow No 555, p 2).
