US industry wants EPA peer review voice
The US industry association, CropLife America (CLA), has urged the EPA to recognise the importance of industry expertise in its scientific peer review process. The association made its comments in response to the Agency’s draft policy on scientific integrity, which was issued last month. “While CLA is supportive of the EPA’s effort to remain transparent in setting scientific standards, the Agency must further recognise the important role of the peer review process,” the association says. It recommends that the EPA include peer review among its principles of scientific integrity.
