Keygene/Wageningen to open new HT DNA sequencing facility

Dutch agbiotech company KeyGene (Wageningen) and Wageningen University and Research centre (Wageningen UR), have joined forces to launch a “next generation” high throughput DNA sequencing facility that will be open to commercial and private sector clients. The facility has been funded by a €1.7 million ($2.4 million) investment from the Dutch local and national governments. The new facility will enable KeyGene and Wageningen UR to carry out genomics research for a broad array of samples from microbial, plant, animal and human origin. Projects will be handled in the joint facility but executed by either KeyGene or Wageningen UR in a bilateral way with each customer.
