BASF receives first global approval for fluxapyroxad
BASF has received approval in the UK for the fungicide, Adexar (fluxapyroxad 62.5g/litre + epoxiconazole 62.5 g/litre). This is the first global approval for the active ingredient, which is a carboxamide fungicide acting as a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI). It was unveiled by the company in March last year ( Agrow No 591, p 25). BASF says that the product has been approved ahead of schedule and will be available for use in the spring of 2012. The company has trade-marked fluxapyroxad as Xemium.
