MBI debuts Grandevo in US
The US biopesticide company, Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI - Davis, California), is to launch its Chromobacterium subtsugae strain PRAA4-1T-based bioinsecticide/acaricide as Grandevo in Florida this month. It will be sold for the control of pests such as citrus psyllids. The move follows state approval by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The EPA proposed the approval of the bioinsecticide in July and granted a broad tolerance exemption last month ( Agrow No 624, p 19).
