Amvac/Bayer complete tribufos deal
The US agrochemical company, American Vanguard (Los Angeles, California), has acquired the international assets of Bayer CropScience’s cotton defoliant, tribufos, which Bayer sells as Def. Amvac acquired the US business in July 2010 ( Agrow No 597, p 3). The latest deal completes the purchase of the product line. It complements Amvac’s tribufos-based cotton defoliant, Folex, which the company acquired from Bayer in 2002.
