Brazil seeks GLP for agchem studies
Brazilian authorities propose only to accept pesticide residue in food studies from pesticide registration applicants if they are carried out under GLP principles. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, has submitted its plan covering field and laboratory tests to public comments. Anvisa director Agenor Álvares justifies the proposal. “These measures would ensure greater confidence in submitted dossiers from laboratories, and would be applied to studies employing a use of products that is safe to human health,” he says.
