Greens sue FWS again on GM crops
Three US environmentalist groups have filed another lawsuit against the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) aimed at preventing the cultivation of genetically modified crops on wildlife refuges. The latest action by the Center for Food Safety, Beyond Pesticides and Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility targets 54 refuges across the Mid-West. The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia. It follows three similar lawsuits against the FWS over GM crop cultivation in other regions ( Agrow No 622, p 16).
