EU confirms additional data needed for three ais
The European Commission has formally adopted amendments to conditions attached to the EU approvals of the herbicides, dicamba and imazaquin, and the fungicide, difenoconazole. The amendments require additional confirmatory data to be submitted by specified deadlines ( Agrow No 626, p 8). They follow the completion of the detailed assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The three active ingredients were originally re-registered in 2009 on a “fast-track” procedure, which allowed approvals to be granted before the EFSA had delivered its final scientific opinion.
