Uruguay issues agchem stocks declaration rules
Pesticide formulation and manufacturing companies in Uruguay must declare their agrochemical stock levels and any shipments every six months to the authorities. The Ministry of Agriculture’s directorate general of agricultural services, the DGSSAA, issued Resolution 33 in September this year, ordering companies to declare information to the DGSSAA. The regulation stipulates that manufacturers must submit among other data: active ingredients used in their formulations, stocks, export volumes, as well as volumes sent for sale within the country, and ai imports. Each company’s’ data will be kept on the directorate general’s register, but not be available to other companies. The information is to be supplied by June 30th and November 30th of each year.
