Bayer debuts Movento in Italy
Bayer CropScience has launched its ketoenol insecticide, Movento (spirotetramat 48 g/litre), in Italy. The suspension concentrate formulation is for use on over 20 crops including table grapes, grapevines, citrus, pome fruits, various vegetables, melons, cabbages and lettuces to control aphids and whiteflies. The national authorities granted provisional approval for the product in September. The active ingredient has several EU member state provisional (three-year) approvals, including the first in Austria in 2008, and then the UK for use on lettuces and brassicas ( Agrow No 576, p 23). It has since received similar authorisations in Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg and Romania.
