Two Shaanxi China-based agchem firms merge
Chinese chemical company Shanxi Thompson Biotechnology has entered into a merger with the Chinese agrochemical company, Shaanxi Hanzhong chemical pesticide. The latter company, which has a registered capital of Yuan 2 million ($300,000), will be amalgamated into Shanxi Thompson Biotechnology, which has a registered capital of Yuan 10.1 million ($1.6 million), and whose name will not change. Both companies are manufacturers of pesticide formulations. This is the third Chinese pesticide company merger of 2011 for which details have been published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Details of a merger involving Anhui Huaxing Chemical were released by the Ministry last month ( Agrow No 629, p 3).
