Bayer debuts Madison in Turkey
Bayer CropScience has launched its combination fungicide, Madison (prothioconazole 175 g/litre + trifloxystrobin 88 g/litre) in Turkey. The suspension concentrate formulation is for use on wheat to control brown rust ( Puccinia reconditatritici), Septoria leaf spot ( Septoria tritici) and powdery mildew ( Blumeria graminis). Madison offers broad-spectrum and long-lasting control and is an ideal resistance management tool, Bayer says. It will be available to cereal growers in the country from next year, the company told Agrow. Key launches of Madison started in Germany and the UK in 2005, followed by France and the Netherlands in 2007, and Belgium a year later.
