Ex-Dow researcher jailed for US espionage
A former Dow AgroSciences employee has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison over US charges of economic espionage and theft of trade secrets. Chinese national Kexue Huang was sentenced in December to 87 months in prison and three years of supervised release. In October, Mr Huang admitted misappropriating and transporting trade secrets to China while working at Dow. He also pleaded guilty to stealing secrets from Cargill ( Agrow No 627, p 16).
