Brazil Anvisa OKs biofungicide
Brazilian toxicology authorities have recommended the approval for sale of the biofungicide, Trichoderma stromaticum. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, has added the biofungicide to its list of approved active ingredients. It is for use as a spray on plant debris for the control of witches’ broom disease ( Moniliophthora perniciosa) on cocoa. Full commercial approval requires the assent of the Ministry of Agriculture.
