US approval for BASF's OpTill Pro
BASF has received US approval for a new saflufenacil (trade-marked as Kixor)-based herbicide for use on soybeans. OpTill Pro (saflufenacil + dimethenamid-P + imazethapyr) provides enhanced burn-down and residual control of a range of grasses and broadleaf weeds, BASF points out. It particularly stresses the effective control of glyphosate-resistant waterhemp ( Amaranthus spp). Last year, BASF introduced Verdict (saflufenacil + dimethenamid-P) for use on soybeans ( Agrow No 603, p 21).
