US food-use approval for flazasulfuron
The US EPA proposes the first food-use approval of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha’s sulfonylurea herbicide, flazasulfuron. The approval expansion would cover citrus fruit, grapevines and sugar cane, as well as the additional non-food uses of Christmas trees and industrial vegetation management areas. Flazasulfuron is currently approved for use on turf. The latest approval decision is open to public comment until January 20th.
