Bayer passes Japanese site to Agro-Kanesho
Japanese company Agro-Kanesho has been handed over the site of Bayer CropScience’s Yuki Research Center in Japan. The company purchased the site in November ( Agrow No 628, p 2) and has renamed it as Agro-Kanesho Yuki Site. Agro-Kanesho plans to expand and centralise its research and development efforts by moving its biological research department in Tokorozawa and its research farm in Tomisato to Yuki. It also plans to build a new production facility at the site to replace its Fukushima plant, which was closed due to its location in the restricted area near the damaged nuclear power plant. The production facility at the Yuki site is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
