Portuguese agchem sales up 7% in 2011
The Portuguese agrochemical market rose by 6.6% in 2011 to some €130.6 million ($166.9 million at the current rate), according to official estimates from Statistics Portugal. That would include a 5% increase in volumes and 1.6% higher prices. The national agrochemical association, the Anipla, has yet to issue its market estimate. It reported almost €119 million ($152 million) in sales for 2010 among its members ( Agrow No 611, p 14).
