Amvac gains mosquito larvicides

US agrochemical company American Vanguard (Los Angeles, California) has acquired a global licence to US pest control firm Summit Chemical’s (Baltimore, Maryland) Bt var israelensis (Bti)-based Bti Briquets for the control of mosquito larvae. The biopesticide has been used in the US and abroad for over 30 years. Amvac is established in the control of adult mosquitoes with its naled-based insecticides, Dibrom and Trumpet, and sees the entry into the larvicide market as an opportunity to reach new customers.
