Arysta acquires Devidayal
Arysta LifeScience has acquired full ownership of Indian generic agrochemical company Devidayal Sales (Mumbai). Arysta bought a majority stake in the company in March 2011 and viewed that as a platform for rapid entry into the country by accelerating the registration and introduction of its products ( Agrow No 612, p 4). It has launched the insecticide, Orthene (acephate), since then. Orthene is formulated and packed at its plant at Kalol in western India. Other products, including the herbicides, Select (clethodim), Everest (flucarbazone-sodium) and Dinamic (amicarbazone), are in various stages of registration, development and evaluation for the Indian market, the company says.
