Belchim debuts five agchems in Italy
Belgian crop protection company Belchim Crop Protection’s Italian subsidiary has debuted five new registered products for use in horticulture. They include: the emulsifiable concentrate formulation acaricide/insecticide, Satel (zeta-cypermethrin 15 g/litre); the suspension concentrate formulation fungicides, Ranman Top (cyazofamid 160 g/litre) and Axidor (cymoxanil 50 g/litre + propamocarb hydrochloride 400 g/litre); and the herbicides, Metric (clomazone 60 g/litre + metribuzin 233 g/litre) and Lentagran (pyridate 45%), which are suspension concentrate and wettable powder formulations, respectively. Syngenta licensed Lentagran to Belchim for exclusive use on vegetables in the EU in 2006 ( Agrow No 507, p 2). The European Commission declared the application for approval renewal of pyridate as admissible last year to be assessed under the EU registration rules ( Agrow No 622, p 12). Ranman Top is an Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha subsidiary ISK Biosciences Europe product.
