US EPA to approve BASF's Xemium
The US EPA has put forward the approval of BASF’s new fungicide, fluxapyroxad (trade-marked as Xemium). The proposed decision covers two seed treatments, two single active ingredient foliar fungicides and two foliar fungicides combining fluxapyroxad and pyraclostrobin (trade-marked as F500). The planned registrations cover a range of fruit, vegetable and field crops. BASF intends to market the seed treatments as Systiva and the fluxapyroxad/pyraclostrobin combinations as Merivon and Priaxor ( Agrow No 611, p 29).
