EU urges Romania to further improve agchem residue controls
Romania’s control systems for pesticide residues in foodstuffs has progressed since 2008, but some shortcomings persist, the EU’s Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) reports. There is co-operation and communication between and within competent authorities and controls are performed in accordance with plans. The national reference laboratories have made significant improvements. However, those involved in official controls still possess insufficient analytical scope.
