US EPA restricts rodenticide bait

The US EPA has issued restrictions on the use of LiphaTech’s rodenticide, Rozol Prairie Dog Bait (chlorophacinone), to protect eight endangered or threatened species in six states. The measures were agreed between LiphaTech, the EPA and the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) following a 20-year consultation between the EPA and the FWS ( Agrow No 632, p 12). The use restrictions have been included in endangered species protection bulletins on the EPA’s Bulletins Live website.
