Soybean farmers in Brazil have won a class action seeking an injunction against the charging of royalties by Monsanto for its genetically modified herbicide-tolerant Roundup Ready soybeans in Brazil. The 15th Civil Court of Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul found for five farmers’ unions from Passo Fondo, Sertao and of Santiago. The ruling was made earlier this month.
