Limin Chemical tests mesotrione plant
Chinese agrochemical company Limin Chemical has unveiled a 500 tonnes/year mesotrione herbicide manufacturing plant that will enter trial operation by the end of the month, Chinese media report. The plant, which is undergoing pressure and leakage testing, is expected to achieve yearly sales of Yuan 250 million ($39.5 million) once in full operation. The plant is the first stage of the company's development project at Tangdian chemical industry park in Xinyi, Jiangsu province. The second stage is the relocation and upgrading of a pyrimethanil fungicide plant, and the third a plan to upgrade a 10,000 tonnes/year mancozeb fungicide facility. All three stages will be completed by June this year, reports add. The total investment for the project is Yuan 450 million ($71.2 million).
